Hey Rollaclub, I've been posting here for a while now - lurking even longer - and figured it was about time I shared some details of my current projects, being a silver KE55 XX coupe and a buff KE55 sedan. First the coupe... I first owned a yellow KE35 when I was 16 in 1989. It's my profile pic. After a couple of years I had thoroughly trashed it, so traded "up" to a VK Commodore, then an XF Falcon, then a ZA Fairlane before picking up another bright brown KE35 around 1997 for $800. I drove that 35 around for 6 years before blowing a head gasket. At which point I bombed it up with a 5K, extractors, paint & interior and polished XX alloys, the…

Howdy all. I've been meaning to start a thread on here. I haven't got much in the way of pictures at the moment, but they will follow. 67ROLLA My 3K powered KE10, as yet the only mod is a 2" exhaust that I just got today. Sounds friggin awsome!! Also I have pianted bright orange the rocker cover, air filter holder thingy and the fan. Now just need some new hoses, new battery box installed, tidy up the wiring, and that should be it for the engine bay. I am getting her painted in March, bright orange, with 2 x 2" white stripes off center on the drivers side. Some time in the future I plan to get the interior changed to orange with the white stripes co…

Hey all. long time member but have been inactive for a long time. Here is my MS85 crown rolling on lincoln continental wheels. So i got this car cheap. real cheap. knackered 4m. well knackered everything. I found a rebuilt 4m dirt cheap and put it in. got it running and driving then played the game of replacing everything. First i replaced all steering componenets. then Shocks. Then all the bushes. Drove so nice. albeit slow. Always felt that it needed a v8. but was content to drive it as it was for a long while. then a soarer came along for a measly sum of $550. so bye bye 4m and hello 1uz. i'm about to throw myself into this conversion but i have re…

Hey guys, have only just got around to getting off my @ss and putting this thing up in the member's rides. THis is gonna be a fairly long post, and i've had this for about 11 months and done work slowly on it. Anyway, here we go: Purchased late last year from a middle aged woman, and was pretty tidy. Hubby had a ke20 "weekend car" and kept this just as clean. Clean interior, straight body, onlycouple of normal small spots of rust, new clutch & recon 4k head, 4 speed manual, aircon :hmm: Approx 210,000km on the clock. The details of the car now are: Car: 1983 Toyota Ke70 Corolla CS Engine: 4k-c Gearbox: K-50 gearbox swap Diff: Stocker Engine Mods: …

G'day all, this is my rt80 corona, picked it up for $428 off ebay 2 years ago, it had a 2r 1.5ltr auto, i ported the head and wacked some mikuni side drought bike carbs on it, and a 4spd, it went alright but the motor was getting tired, when i was getting it ready for reg and roady she was getting a bit of milk in the oil, so i chucked the spare cars 12r 1.6 in it the night before it went in for a roady, and left it stock, it goes as good as the 1.5, has a bit more torque, anyways here it is! When i got it as it sits now interior when i got it this is how it looks apart from its manual now it was stock motor, i ported the head and made th…

Hi everyone, I think it's time to show you all my ride before it gets any major work done to it. First off, I'm Adam, recently turned 18 and going for my P's on the 15th of Jan 08. I'm from Melbourne and have always been into the Jap import scene. Big fan of the skylines, silvias and supras. While being on L's, I've been driving an R32 GTS-4 sedan and was planning on driving it on my P's as well, but the 'no turbo, v8' laws came in and it was time for me to get a new ride. The KE70 happened to be it. I honestly didn't really plan on getting the rolla at first, but found that it would've been the best option for me. I had my eyes on an S13 silvia first. Okay, enou…

Hello everyone! So I'm still new here so trying to get used to this forum system. First I wan't to say that sometimes my English can be hard to understand, but hope you'll get hang of it ;) To the car itself. I got two Corollas (Ke10 and Ke11) about half a year ago from my girlfriends dad as he needed more space in to his shed and didn't have time for building these. The ke11 was just rust, but it did have a good 3K and 4-Speed, So i took the engine and gearbox out and rest of the car got crushed. The ke10 was in decent condition: not too much rust, it has all the parts and extra from the ke11. The stock K- engine of it was just bad so i'll be putting the 3K in t…

Thought I's post some belated build photo's of my AE92 Khanacross car, There's not a lot of information out there for them, so could be a helpful resource to people contemplating this path in the future. I was fortunate to get this ex-roadcar from a guy at work, who had spent a bunch of money on it with the wrong people, and become disenchanted with it. Originally he wanted quite a bit of money for it, but I managed to eventually prise it from him for not a lot at all. It still had it's issues, faded paint, dents poorly repaired, rust, horrible wiring with a typical boyracer stereo and lowered suspension.W When it first arrived. Start stripping everything…

My project car is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) 1987 Toyota Corolla II GP Turbo (Grey Import) I bought the car in bad shape for a decent price, so I spent thousands refreshing the car and bringing it back to its original standard. Once Finished I decided on a 4EFTE transplant from an early Starlet GT Turbo. The conversion was dodgy and to cut a long story short, I was ripped off leaving me with a car with more problems then when I originally bought it, and the problems from the dodgy engine transplant ultimately lead to the car faulting and being taking off the road. Slowly I have been repairing the car and finding things which need attention. The pl…

Hey guys, Back in February as some of you already know my baby 55 coupe was stolen :sob: I had my eye on Dougie's(phatke20) ke38 wagon he had for sale as a project build, but things dramatically changed and the search for a project turned into a search for a daily driver. Picked this beauty up for a bargain(thanks again Dougie) drove it down from redcliffe for a measly $650 with the help of my brother (chillin). as I got her: 1981 ke38 wagon, 4spd manual, whiny diff over 60, few dints and bumps, little bit of rust, no stereo, dull paint. classic ke. So, I got her home and gave it a wash, little polish and booked it in for a roady the next day, Passed easily. S…

Hey I'm new to this forum and corolla's in general. Just got myself a 1984 ke70 and am in the process (still early) of a new paint job and sr20det conversion. Car is off the road as I bought it with a broken axle, wasn't much good to me anyway with an auto in it. My daily is a 2006 Toyota Hiace, its lowered colour coded bumpers, tint, stereo, carpeted all the rear of it and yeah just all the basics. how I picked it up

New thread. Car looks like this now. So I put an AE93 speedo into my KE70 cluster for the speed sensor mainly to get rid of the CEL. Turns out when I drilled into it to mount it I drilled through the speed sensor connection. D'oh. Fixed, improved and re-installed. The clock has been replaced with a voltmeter and the charge light is no my CEL. I removed the trip meter mechanism to fit the speedo but I think I could make it fit. If I can find another cheap 93 cluster Ill do it at a later stage along with a new perspex screen. Next plan is to install the 9000rpm tacho.

Hey guys, so in November I purchased this 1983 Ke70, purchase title "the Steezy Little Keto" Purchase Date: November 6, 2011. Location: Brisbane. Condition: Stripped, rusty, dented, just bad overall. Well long story short. I was driving around in my QNC21 Toyota bB import and decided I want to get back into a KE corolla. So I found a KE11 rusted to hell and back in a back yard cheap. Bought it restored it (well cut out rust) drove it daily loved it. But decided I want something a tad newer for the daily since I had a KE15 sprinter and not a corolla. Well I went looking for something A) Cheap, B) Fairly easy on the service and reliable C)Bland D) didn't care what it was. So I started looking around Camry, i20, subis anything.....Till I stumbled upon THIS car. It is a 2005 Toyota Sportivo with 160,000km on it. Factory serviced till 120,000Km and smelt like a really …

Hi Everyone. Having had a long standing love affair with the old rotary motor, combined with a love of the early sedans of my time, this is my first project that i actually look like having the money to complete from start to finish. Crazy. Started with seeing an add on g-tree for a ke30 sedan that looked kinda neat. Rang the owner and he was super nice, and being about a 3 hour drive from my place, a mate and i decided to make it into an overnight trip as a bit of a getaway as well. Fell in love with it at first sight, and was convinced there and then that this is the car for me. Completely stock as a rock, with a few little patches of rust, but nothing that …

I have been on the search for along time for one of these. When this one came up in WA, I had to jump on it. After the deal was done and the car sent over on the train, it landed at my place. I finally came home from work 2 weeks later and have been able to have a good look at it. I'm very happy. It needs work, but what 45 year old car doesn't???

After I finally got rid of my 71 I was starting to think about what to put my gze in, main car I wanted to use was my ute but wasn't 100% keen on the idea and the 82 was out of the question as the blower sits where the brake master/booster is. I then started looking at an AL25 conversion but was put off by the driveline so my next option was an adub and well this one just fell on my feet. It's an aw10 but the 3a has been removed and the front guards are missing, I do however have another front end and a ton of spares, will be pulling the interior out and cleaning it all up and changing some of it out for the supercharged stuff at work. Plan is to finish my engine,…
