The year is 2004, I acquired a Toyota Corolla from one of my friends, Nick. The vehicle had been stripped out with the engine bay painted, sitting beside a colossal pile of parts. Due to lack of time and a few others things, I acquired the old girl on her journey towards a better life. If any of you have seen the Rusty Relics thread on ausrotary you would have seen a lot of old, tied and very rusty Mazda’s. Well I thought id start a thread on rollaclub for the same reason except this one will be about Corollas and other Toyotas. I have about 87 MB of Mazda Rusty Relics and only 4 MB of Toyotas so I hope others can contribute. I know most Corollas aren’t that desirable except for the TE27 and a few others but a lot of other models are real collector’s items. Very similar to Mazda’s. Hi people, this is now the car that I'm building the 20v setup into. Its a nice straight ae71 manual csx. I'm going to fit the 20v and ae86 diff and all the good suspension stuff from the last car. Its vital stats are as follows: White paint - code AA October 84 model. CSX so it has boot and fuel poppers and a lush velour ocean lapping the inside. 397,000 klms. Well we have started on the re-shell today. first off was to get the rollcage out of the old body shell, off came the roof. 3 hours later we managed to remove the cage in 4 pieces.

I'd like to log the progress of my KE20 as it makes its way from a rough old original to a neat streeter. Purchased the vehicle on the 1/8/2010 for $1500. I saw it driving home from the wreckers after buying new seats for my daily. I've been told i'm the third owner. Originally owned by some old biddy, then a younger dude, whom I bought it off. So it's happened. I finally have a ke10. It's rusty, spider infested and crap. but it's mine :blush: After a once over i've discovered it has a 4k in it and ke20 front disks. There's a fair bit of rust and dents and it looks like i'll need new front guards and bonnet and possibly some pateches to weld in. Well, I traded ReCOUPErator some money for what you see below. This car will now be built in memory of my best friend, who passed away on the 6th August, 2007. My aim, if I have the money, is to have the car done by her 1 year anniversary of her passing, though thats going to be VERY tough to do, if not, I'll make it by summer 2008. Hey guys, Well I have finally got one! After about a year and a half of searching and saving on maccas pay I have got myself a KE20 :) It turns out a few of you may even recognise this one as well, as it has been around here for a while. I purchased it off Sim in the last week or so, but I also believe it was owned by Scott (PMP 020) and a bloke called Glenn (also from here).
